Smallest supported housing are 0201, BGA, QFN, WLCSP pitch 0.4mm (minimal padding 0,2 mm).
Maximum size of the assembled panel:
SR2600 screen printer: 300 x 400 mm.
MS20 precise screen printer: 290 x 290 mm or 260 x 320 mm.
The recommended panel dimensions are < 150 x 280 mm.
In the case of thin PCBs (h<1mm) or flexible (a large number of cutters/cutouts), it is recommended to use narrower templates.
The minimum PCB thickness for double-sided mounting is 0.8 mm. One-sided installation possible below 0.8 mm.
We recommend using the ENIG gold plating technology instead of HAL (HASL) coating. The HAL is uneven (depends on the quality), which, in the case of integrated elements with a dense lead pitch, may cause faulty assembly due to the difficult application of solder paste to small pads.
Panels with double-sided assembly should have a frame width of 7 mm or, in the absence of a frame, the elements should be spaced evenly from the edge of the PCB.
The distance between the outline of the elements and the edge of the panel should be greater than 1.5 mm.
Ideally, the individual PCBs in the panel should be oriented in the same orientation.
Each panel or single PCB should have at least 2 fiducials (3 recommended).
Fiducials or so-called reference marks are placed at the corners of the panel to serve as a reference for the assembly machine to precisely position the components on the PCB. Fiducial is a round pad with a diameter of d = 1-3 mm placed on a copper layer, where outside of its area, copper and a solder mask in the form of a circle with a diameter of at least 2d are removed.
If the PCB or PCB panel does not have fiducials then it is possible to use the pads of two extreme elements on a given side of the PCB as fiducials. Then these elements are not assembled by the automatic machine and soldered by hand after the automatic assembly is completed.
Accuracy above +/- 0.08 mm
Element rotation by: 0.1º
The delivered elements should be clearly described on the packaging, in accordance with the name that appears in the BOM.
The elements should be delivered with a 5% spare, provided that for passive elements and small semicobuctors delivered in tapes the spare cannot be less than 100 pcs. Large or expensive integrated circuits can be delivered with a spare of 2 - 4 pcs.
We return unused items to the customer.
The smallest supported housings are 0201, BGA, QFN, WLCSP pitch 0.4mm (minimum pad 0.2mm).
The maximum height of the elements in the case of double-sided assembly is 15mm.
The elements should be delivered in the original packaging such as tapes, trays, or sticks. It is possible to mount elements loosely, provided that they are not polar.
Due to the use of a condensing furnace, elements with contraindications (e.g. pressure sensors, etc.) are not recommended. Possibility of securing with Kapton tape, but in this case, correct operation of the element is not guaranteed.
The following documents should be provided with the order at least 3 days before the planned assembly:
BOM with a list of all elements, including element designators, value, part number, housing type, number of elements.
Assembly drawing with a diagram of the arrangement of all elements, designators, and a contour.
Paste file for the PCB, in the case of a panel, the paste file must be for the entire panel.
Gerber files for outer copper layers: top and bottom.
Drilling file.
Pick&Place file with element coordinates preferably in .CSV format. Each line must contain: element designator, value or PN, housing type, x and y coordinates of the element, angle of rotation, assembly side.
PCB covered with HASL (HAL lead/lead-free). The coating, due to its unevenness, makes it difficult to apply the paste, especially for small SMT components requiring high precision.
PCBs delivered individually instead of in a panel - such PCBs often extend SMT assembly time.
PCBs without sufficient margins at the edges, making it necessary to assemble some elements by hand, which follows the stage of a machine and furnace assembly. The lack of margins may prevent the automatic assembly of elements, primarily those falling out of the PCB mounting holders in a screen printer, assembly machine, and oven. The minimum width of the margin margins is 10 mm.
PCBs without fiducials - the pads of the elements used for fiducials cannot be filled with elements by the machine - the need for manual assembly of these elements.
Items delivered without the required inventory or incomplete BOM - this causes downtime in assembly.
Errors in the file for the implementation of the template for applying the solder paste.
The materials should be delivered at least 5 working days before the planned start of the assembly. Faster delivery of materials is appreciated.
If the materials are delivered later or if the materials are not complete, there may be a delay in starting and completing the assembly.
